I don't require much to be inspired. Believe it or not, my inspiration for this project stemmed from a bathroom. I loved the clean lines, how modern it was, the contrast between the colors and materials, the overall structure of it all. Most of my designs tend to be geometric and structured, so I had a lot of ideas but no way to connect them. I needed my ideas to 'come together'. Euclid is known as the Father of Geometry --- the first person to really study HOW shapes and lines come together. Thus in order to merge my ideas, convergence was found. I loved that the word means multiple things. As an artist, I can be extremely too literal at times, but the visual I had with converging thoughts turned out to be quite an interesting design detail. What's another way that fabric can come together, other than traditional seams?
